POSITION SUMMARY:

 

With minimum supervision this position will support elevator & escalator field, quality, safety activities and efficiency improvement initiatives. Interface with operational departments and manufacturing facilities within EED including domestic vendors and suppliers for the purposes of providing cost saving solutions derived by analysis or development.

 

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Produce electrical wiring packages for elevator systems and participate in the development thereof to meet standardization and applied methodologies

·        Coordinate quality assurance of components and systems relating to Mitsubishi designed products and those of domestic US suppliers

·        Prepare technical manuals for use by other departments in EED including, but not limited to, Duty Tables, Installation Instruction Manuals, Adjustment Procedure Manuals, Maintenance Procedure Manuals, Parts Manuals, and Technical Drawings

·        Participate in the design of solutions suitable for the US market in conjunction with other engineering disciplines within EED and it’s manufacturers or vendors

·        Perform necessary engineering investigations and calculations as required to design or the redesign elevator and escalator components where required

·        Assist other departments in the diagnosing of elevator and escalator control and dispatching systems (trouble shooting/failure analysis)

·        Assist with developing maintenance programs

·        Training of personnel

 

The non-essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Produce memos, letters, progress reports and other communications for internal/external distribution

·        Issue technical bulletins for quality improvements and safety

·        Performs other job functions as assigned

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

·        Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Associate of Science with equivalent experience.

·        3-5 years experience in electrical/mechanical systems.

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

·        Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
